KSITIGARBHA BODHISATTVA DHARMA ASSEMBLY
To celebrate the Pavarana Day and the holy birthday of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters, Hua Zang Si, and Sanger Mission will jointly hold a Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Dharma Assembly, in which the consciousness of the deceased will be transmigrated to higher realms, on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in the Sakyamuni Buddha Hall at Hua Zang Si in San Francisco. We will chant sutras, perform the Buddhist ritual of transmigrating the consciousness of the deceased, and make offerings to Buddhas.
The practice of the transmigration of the consciousness will be dedicated to the deceased listed in Form A. Prayers for fortune and elimination of disasters will be dedicated to the ones listed in Form B. We welcome all good believers in ten directions to join us and share the Dharma benefit.

藥師佛，又被稱為藥師瑠璃光如來，為東方淨瑠璃世界教主，其國土莊嚴乃極樂國。藥師佛於過去世行菩薩道時，發十二大願，願為眾生解除疾苦，使具足諸善根，導入解脫。

Medicine Buddha, also called the Medicine Master, Tathagata of Vaidurya Light is the founder of the Eastern Paradise of Vaidurya which is an adorned land full of bliss. When Medicine Buddha practiced the Bodhisattva path in the past, he made 12 great vows to relieve the sufferings from sicknesses for living beings so they can develop the root of kindness which will lead them to liberation.
We are delighted that the holy birthday of the Medicine Master, Tathagatha of Vaidurya Light is approaching. On Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 9:30 a.m., a Medicine Buddha Dharma Assembly will be held in the Sakyamuni Buddha Hall at Hua Zang Si in San Francisco. It will be jointly conducted by the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters, Hua Zang Si and Sanger Mission.
We will recite respectfully The Sutra of the Merit and Virtue of the Past Vows of Medicine Master Vaidurya Light Tathagata. The Lamps of Brightness for blessings will be lit and Meal Offerings to Buddhas will be practiced. It is our hope that the merit accrued from the dharma assembly will increase the good fortune and wisdom of all beings, eradicate their sicknesses and disasters, and purify their karmic hindrances. We will pray for world peace and safety of our country. We welcome all good believers in ten directions to the event and share the Dharma benefit.

10月29日是 南無第三世多杰羌佛《佛定放生日》，為遵奉佛陀慈悲利生的教導，華藏寺將于該日舉行放生活動。以此功德，迴向所放眾生得三寶庇佑，早生善道，離苦得樂，祈願法界有情無諸病苦，業障消除，諸事吉祥，並祝願正法永駐，國泰民安，世界和平！

Notice of the Fish Release on “The Fish Release Day Set by the Buddha”
Oct 29, 2015 will be the Fish Release Day set by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. To follow the teachings of the Buddha on benefiting living beings with great compassion, Hua Zang Si will hold a Fish Release event on that day. The merit gained from the event will be dedicated to the living beings which are to be released. We will pray that they receive protection from the Three Jewels, gain rebirth in the higher realms and be free from sufferings and full of happiness. We will also pray for all sentient beings in the Dharma realm that they be free of all forms of sufferings and karmic hindrances and obtain auspiciousness. May the correct Dharma forever be with us and may the world be in peace!

Bathing the Buddha Dharma Assembly
The eighth day of the April of the Chinese lunar calendar is the holy birthday of Sakyamuni Buddha. Before the Buddha renounced and reached enlightenment, he was known as Prince Siddhartha. According to Buddhist sutras, right after the Prince was born, He said, with one hand pointing to the sky and the other pointing to the ground, “From heaven to earth, I alone am the world-honored one.” Nine dragons in the sky then poured streams of fragrant water from their mouths to bathe the prince’s body. Ever since, Buddhists hold the Bathing the Buddha Dharma Assembly to celebrate the holy birth of the Buddha.
The Sutra on the Merits Accrued from Bathing the Buddha states many of the benefits of bathing the Buddha: The practitioners will experience wealth and well-being in this life time. They will have great health and long life. Their wishes will be granted. Families and friends will live in harmony, be far away from the eight difficulties, and be free from all karmic conditions that will result in sufferings.
To celebrate the holy birthday of Sakyamuni Buddha, the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters (U.I.W.B.A.H.), Hua Zang Si, and Sanger Mission will hold the Bathing the Buddha Dharma Assembly on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the Sakyamuni Buddha Hall at Hua Zang Si in San Francisco. We will bathe the Buddha with the most wonderful fragrant water.

釋迦牟尼佛佛誕浴佛法會
農曆四月初八，是釋迦佛陀的佛誕日。據佛經記載，悉達多太子，也就是後來出家成道的釋迦牟尼佛，誕生後，一手指天，一手指地，說道：「天上天下，唯我獨尊」。隨即九龍吐水，天降香湯浴太子身。後世佛教徒為慶祝佛陀誕生，於每年的佛誕日舉行浴佛法會。
《浴佛功德經》中云，浴佛的利益有：現受富樂，無病延年；於所願求，無不隨意；親友眷屬，悉皆安穩；長辭八難，永出苦緣。
為恭祝釋迦牟尼佛聖誕，聯合國際世界佛教總部（U.I.W.B.A.H.）、華藏寺(Hua Zang Si)及聖格講堂(Sanger Mission)將於2014年5月4日（星期日）上午9：30，在舊金山華藏寺大雄寶殿聯合啟建《釋迦牟尼佛佛誕浴佛法會》。屆時將以上妙香湯浴佛。歡迎十方善信踴躍參與，共霑法益！

Guan Yin Bodhisattva Dharma Assembly
Guan Yin Bodhisattva (Avalokitesvara) is well known for Her great compassion and loving kindness to save those in times of pain and difficulty. In fact, She attained Buddhahood countless eons ago and is known as Zheng Fa Ming Ru Lai, Correct Dharma Realization Tathagata. Because of Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s bodhicitta and holy vows, She manifests a thousand arms and eyes to save the suffering multitudes of beings in the earthly realm.
The holy birthday of Guan Yin Bodhisattva is approaching. The United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters, Hua Zang Si, and Sanger Mission will hold the Guan Yin Bodhisattva Dharma Assembly in the Sakyamuni Buddha Hall at Hua Zang Si in San Francisco on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. We will recite the sutra and practice the meal offering to the Buddhas. The names of attendees and donors will be on the prayer list. We will beseech blessing from Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for happiness, auspiciousness and increase in fortune and wisdom.
